MUSIC LICENSE / SYNCHRONIZATION AGREEMENT
This Music License / Synchronization Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of [effective date] by and between [licensor] (Individual) ("Licensor") and [licensee] ("Licensee").
1. Grant of License
Licensor hereby grants Licensee the non-exclusive right and license to record, dub, and synchronize the musical work titled "[song / composition title]", written and composed by [writer(s) / composer(s)] and published by [publisher], in timed relation with the audiovisual production presently entitled "[project title]" (the "Project"). The rights granted hereunder consist of: Sync + Master (both).
2. Term & Territory
The term of this license shall be In perpetuity, throughout Worldwide.
3. Media & Platforms
The license granted herein extends to the following media and platforms: Festivals, theatrical, streaming, home video, promotional.
4. Use in Project
The Project is a Feature Film. The work shall be used as follows: [how the music is used]. The approximate duration of use is [duration used].
5. Master Recording
The license granted herein includes the master recording of the work as performed by [artist / performer], the master rights to which are owned or controlled by [master recording owner]. Licensor warrants that it is authorized to grant such master use rights.
6. License Fee & Payment
In consideration of the rights granted herein, Licensee shall pay Licensor a license fee of [license fee (USD)]. Payment terms: [payment terms]. The fee stated above covers both the synchronization and master use rights granted hereunder.
7. Credit
No specific credit is required, though Licensee may accord credit in the Project's end titles at its discretion.
8. Representations & Warranties
Licensor represents and warrants that it owns or controls the rights granted hereunder and has full right, power, and authority to enter into this Agreement and to grant such rights, and that the exercise of the rights granted herein will not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
