Learning to make films independently means learning five jobs: writing, directing, producing, post and selling the finished film. The Academy teaches them in that order across 62 free courses — story structure and screenwriting, directing actors and coverage, budgeting and scheduling, editing and sound, then festival strategy, distribution and monetization.
